The Rainforest
Experience the nature and beauty of Zihuatanejo by hiking through the lush tropical forest. Once the jaguar capital of the world, you can find a dazzling array of exotic plants and animals. We always recommend that you have a professional tour guide on any excursion.

The Beaches
Here is a list of our favorite beaches in Zihuatanejo:
Playa Blanca
A 9- mile long secluded beach with pristine sand and beautiful views. Besides the occasional fisherman casting a net into the waves, you will probably have this beach to yourself.
Playa La Ropa
This is one of the most popular beaches in Zihuatanejo. You can find many great restaurants, parasailing, jet skiing, sailing, and other fun activities to enjoy on this beach.
Las Gatas
The only way to get to Las Gatas is via water taxi from the main pier in Zih. This beach is on the opposite side of the bay and looks back at Zihuatanejo. Here you will find restaurants and activities like those at La Ropa, but with more local culture and less tourists.
Ixtapa Island
Accessible by water taxi from Ixtapa, this is a beautiful beach with calm waves. It has all the activities and restaurants necessary to help you enjoy your day at the beach.

Mangrove Lagoon
At the end of Play Blanca is a small Mexican fishing village called Barra de Potosi. Barra is surrounded by an 8-mile lagoon that winds through lush tropical forest. Guests enjoy kayaking through the lagoon or taking a leisurely boat ride.
