| Shari
and Scott Crawford built, own and operate Hotel Las Palmas.
Originally from the United States (Arizona), they are semi-retired
health care professionals, Shari an R.N. and Scott an M.D. still
practicing part-time in Phoenix, when not at the hotel. Though worldly
traveled, Mexico’s Pacific coast has always lured them. Their
idea was to design and build a small luxury hotel with special comforts,
amenities and personal attention, not in the middle of an already
congested tourist area, but rather on a quiet picturesque beach
with an abundance of natural surroundings, yet still immediately
accessible to an international airport. They knew this would appeal
to a select group of discriminating travelers who seek out the unordinary.
In 1999, they found Playa Blanca, the location they had been looking
for. And now, Hotel Las Palmas is the transformation from concept
to reality. They graciously invite you to share in this concept
and reality of Hotel Las Palmas. They treat their guests, as they
would like to be treated.
Paloma is our hotel mascot. She just showed up one day during
the hotel construction and has been with us ever since. She has
some amazing stories that you’ll want to hear about (notice
the missing left foot!). Paloma befriends everyone, and is possibly
the most popular member of our hotel family. She is gentle and sweet
as her name connotes… “Paloma” is Spanish for
“dove”.

The staff at Hotel Las Palmas comes from the neighboring
villages around Playa Blanca. Many have been with the hotel since
it opened and have a special bond with “their hotel”.
They take personal pride in making your stay at Hotel Las Palmas
pleasant and comfortable in their little part of the world.
